Flickr and Delicious

This week we have created a Flickr and Delicious account.

Flickr
I always knew that Flickr would be useful, because my lovely wife does photography at CSU. Her lecturers have always harped on her to put her work up on Flickr. Now that I have an account , her work is up. Haha. I can see, just from the little experience I have had with Flick, that it is an excellent tool for exposure. Granted, facebook is also good, but personally I don't see it as a professional avenue for publishing your work. I think alot more people who are serious about the business will still source artists from Flickr.

Delicious
Damian was right, at least in my case, that we wouldn't understand the significance of using Delicious yet. The only foresight that I have is that we will need to store alot of bookmarks in the future, and for that delicious will be perfect. My account has basically nothing in it yet, but I will try to familiarise myself more in the coming weeks and months.

My First Post
So far, my understanding of web pages has increased slightly, but I'm sure that after a couple of more lessons it just might start decreasing again. The HTML language is reasonably easy to understand as far as the basic things we were doing today. Hopefully it won't all go over my head.
Today's link is the Wikipedia's explanation of the history of blogging. It's good to see how far we've come. There has been controversy in the past, saying that the internet was closing people off from the world, but I can't see how that could be true anymore.
